SAFE Events Team Assistant
Do you enjoy talking to people about the great work SAFE is doing or helping out at events (during the event or behind the scenes)? If so, join the SAFE events team as an event assistant to support events at SAFE’s farm or out in the community throughout the year.
Over the years, SAFE has maintained a presence at fairs, breweries and wine bars, co-ops and feed stores, Chamber of Commerce and civic organization events, and held events at the farm like Bingo at the Barn, Picnic with the Ponies, and more. It take a small but mighty team to support these events and it’s a fun role as we share the great work we are doing at SAFE with the public.
Tasks vary and may include, but are not limited to:
- Helping with info booth set-up/teardown
- Speaking with the public about what SAFE does and how to get involved as a volunteer, donor, or sponsor
- Setting up tables and chairs at larger events
- Managing check-in or staffing a refreshments table at events at the barn
Training will be provided and coordination/details are managed by SAFE’s Community Engagement Manager. This role is to be part of a team that assists with day-of staffing alongside the event lead/host. Flexible schedule – most events are held on Saturday or Sunday and occasionally weekday evenings, within the Greater Seattle/Eastside (with expansion into Snohomish County as SAFE moves to the Maltby/Echo Lake area).
