Join the SAFE Team as an Alumni Coordinator!

We’re seeking two dedicated volunteers to help support the lifelong well-being of horses adopted from SAFE. In this rewarding role, you’ll build relationships with adopters, coordinate alumni check-ins, and work closely with our amazing volunteer team to ensure every SAFE horse continues to thrive in their forever home.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate quarterly alumni site visits and adopter outreach
  • Send follow-up emails, rehoming contracts, and condolence cards
  • Maintain alumni records and prepare brief newsletter updates
  • Support volunteers and communicate with the Operations Director as needed
  • Occasionally handle sensitive calls or site visits

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong computer, email and project management skills
  • Highly accountable, self-motivated and committed volunteers
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Horse knowledge and sound judgment
  • Availability to check email every 3–4 days

Time Commitment:

  • Record Keeping & Follow-up: 10 hours per montth
  • Scheduling & Volunteer Coordination: 15 hours per quarter
  • Annual Planning/Training: 20 hours per year
