Do you like speaking with the public? Setting up and staffing an info booth? Join us as a host at SAFE events in the community! The SAFE Events Host – Offsite will partner with SAFE’s Community Engagement Manager and act as the onsite lead at community events in the Greater Seattle/Eastside area. This is a fun role! It is an opportunity to share all the great work we are doing at SAFE with the public.
Over the years, SAFE has maintained a light to big presence at events such as: Fairs, Breweries, Wine Bars, Co-Ops, Fill The Trailer, Feed Stores, Chamber of Commerce Sammamish, Gardening Nurseries, Landscaping Events, King County, Snohomish County, Pierce County. If you have an idea for a fun event you would like to host – great!
Duties include prepping and setting up a SAFE booth of a folding table, and assorted SAFE promotional materials in an attractive display to generate interest and engagement. The Event Host will speak with guests about the work SAFE does helping abused, neglected and forgotten equines in our area, and how they can get involved as a volunteer or supporter. Collect contact info via sign-up sheet and donations as applicable, and provide a summary/recap to the Community Engagement Manager after each event. Some events will have additional volunteers supporting, based on event size and activities. The Event Host will act as point of contact with the venue and engage/oversee other volunteers for a positive experience for venue, guests and volunteers.
Familiarity with SAFE as a current/former volunteer or supporter preferred. Training provided. Able to support events north of Woodinville will be important as SAFE moves to Maltby/Snohomish in 2026. Flexible schedule (usually a few hours on a weekend, generally only 1-2 events per quarter).
